Official mobile application of Alicante Start Port of the Volvo Ocean Race.

The next edition of the Volvo Ocean Race will depart from the Port of Alicante on the 22nd of October 2017 and will land in 11 ports on the five continents before finishing in The Hague (Netherlands) in the summer of 2018.

From the 11th of October 2017, the Race Village of Alicante will be open to the public for 12 consecutive days, offering a space for entertainment and sports of more than 55,000m2. There, you will find leisure and dining areas and enjoy a complete and varied programme of shows, concerts and animations, a try-sailing programme, and many other entertainment activities for all audiences.

In the Race Village, you will experience the Volvo Ocean Race very closely, following the development of the different coastal regattas that will take place on the Alicante race course, as well as the operations of the teams taking part in the competition, which will have their bases within the site.

You will also be able to visit the Volvo Ocean Race Museum, which - equipped with the most advanced technology - is a unique leisure learning space on navigation, science, ecology and life on board.
